Piotr Smołkowicz

Role at PCMI

Piotr Smołkowicz is responsible for translating our business strategy into a system architecture blueprint that is scalable and sustainable for our PCRS software. He is also entrusted with keeping our system performing at its highest caliber at all times. On a day-to-day basis, Piotr can be found keeping an eye on the overall quality of our code and guiding our development team through any issues they may have.

Career

He began his career in 2005 working as a Software Developer assisting different law departments with customized software. He then had the opportunity to work for ABB Corporate Research Center, where he helped establish an internal Document Template Management System for the firm. As one of the first team members hired at our PCMI Poland office, Piotr has utilized his numerous talents and ingenuity to grow from his initial position as a Senior .NET Developer to a Software Architect, and eventually rising to PCMI’s Enterprise Architect.

Education

Piotr’s abilities as a developer are all self-taught, a testament to his skill and passion for bettering himself.  Growing up, his friends often played computer games — but Piotr was more fascinated in learning the code that created them. Over the years, his hands-on experience and drive for continuous improvement has shaped Piotr into the top-notch developer he is today.
